The objective of this project was to create a future workplace that incorporates advanced technology in order to accommodate the Maker Movement, with a group of 3 other peers.

The success of this project was a result of a strong concept conceived in the beginning of the design process. From this we were able to iterate in multiple ways many different components of the design, all the while making our decisions easily and efficiently based on our preconceived restraints.

 

 

Components of this design included conceptualizing architectural form, interior form, space planning, materiality, psychological needs, physical needs, systems to allow outside elements indoors, circulation, and programming of spaces. This project was preceded by research of future technology, the maker movement and a study of an existing local building.
